Neatpad is a lightweight Win32 editor built for large text and log files. Originally created to support the tutorial series Design and implementation of a Win32 text editor, Neatpad is now a fast & capable editor.
- Find what matters: Search and replace, highlight matches, or filter the view to matching lines with surrounding context.
- Follow live logs: Tail a growing file and receive a notification when it changes outside Neatpad.
- Recover your work: Unsaved documents are checkpointed and can be restored, along with their undo and redo history.
- Edit more comfortably: Convert line endings, zoom text, configure tabs and indentation, and see change indicators in the margin.
This release accompanies the final two tutorials: Part 19: Lazy line buffers and Part 20: Byte-based coordinates.
